It all started by accident.
Back when Reygen Embodo was still a nursing student in Germany, she was struggling, big time. The language barrier was tough, the workload was heavier than expected, and homesickness hit hard. One day, out of pure stress (and maybe a bit of curiosity), she decided to record a short video about what it’s really like to be a Filipino nursing student in Germany.
She hit “post”… and then boom! the video went viral. What started as a random upload turned into something much bigger. Reygen began sharing snippets of her life as a student, then as a full-fledged nurse. But through it all, nursing remained her true passion.
“Vlogging is just a hobby for me,” she explains. “I love it, but nursing is something I’ll never give up. It’s challenging but deeply rewarding. My vlogs are just a way for me to share life abroad, culture, and opportunities, with a bit of fun on the side.”
Reygen isn’t your full-time influencer chasing trends. She’s a real working nurse who often gets only a few hours of sleep between shifts. “Time is my biggest challenge,” she admits. “Sometimes sleep is the only rest I get. That’s why I don’t film or edit every day, I also value my privacy. I create content only when I feel inspired, not pressured.”
But even with her tight schedule, Reygen’s content remains refreshingly authentic. From “day in my life” vlogs and dance clips to heartfelt storytelling, her videos resonate because they’re real, no filters, no scripts, just honesty and humor wrapped in a warm Filipino smile.
“I just wanted to express myself, but suddenly people were messaging me, saying they could relate. That’s when I realized, wow, maybe I can do more with this.” – Reygen
“Men are everywhere,” she jokes, “but education, self-satisfaction, and self-love are treasures no one can take away. Whether or not there’s a man in your life, stand strong. Invest in your growth, believe in yourself, and never stop learning.”
Reygen’s charm lies in her simplicity. She doesn’t chase trends or viral fame. She creates content that reflects her life as it is. “Everything I share is true or based on real experiences,” she says. “That’s what makes it relatable.”
And maybe that’s exactly why people love her. Because in a world of curated feeds and fancy filters, Reygen Embodo reminds us that authenticity still wins hearts.
From a nursing student’s stressed-out video to a vlogger who uplifts others, Reygen’s journey is proof that sometimes, accidents lead to purpose.
“In a world that tells women to shrink, choose to take up space, boldly, joyfully, and unapologetically.”
